Divorce and Separation

The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 governs the divorce for the Jains, Sikhs, Hindus and Buddhists. The divorce laws of Muslims are governed by Dissolution of Muslim Marriage Act,1939, the Parsis by Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act,1936, and Christians are governed by the Indian Divorce Act,1869. All inter-community marriages are governed by the Special Marriages Act,1954.

Divorce by Mutual Consent

Mutual Consent Divorce to the parties which is easier, time saving, and less costly way out, this process of divorce is no longer necessarily adversarial. This process merely takes six months, post which the parties are free to carry on with their respective lives

Alimony and Maintenance/ Spousal Support

As a Family Law attorney, I have represented both the husband and wife in support / oppose with respect to their claims of maintenance and Alimony as per the provisions of Law applicable to them be in the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, The Special Marriage Act, 1954,Section 125, of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, the Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1988, Protection of Women under Domestic Violence Act,

Islamic Marriage Contracts: I have assisted countless couples in drafting and negotiating Islamic marriage contracts (Nikah), ensuring that the terms and conditions align with their religious beliefs and legal requirements. I provide guidance on issues such as dower (mahr), rights and responsibilities of spouses, and dispute resolution mechanisms, helping couples establish a solid foundation for their marital union in accordance with Islamic principles.

Divorce (Talaq) and Divorce by Mutual Consent as Per Shariah Laws
